The Challenge
PEAK was founded as a scrappy investment bank whose three founders managed everything from hiring to building the firm’s first website. A few years into their existence they began to realize the need for a more comprehensive communication strategy in order to compete for bigger deals and earn the respect of their clients. Part of that strategy included the need for a professional website that would represent the firm’s achievements so far and be dynamic and changeable enough to grow with them.
Core needs:
- An eye-catching look and feel to help them gain recognition in a market flooded in shades of blue.
- A clear message that helped prospective clients understand the firm’s stance (as a sell-side investment bank committed to founders).
- A space to share past wins that was simple enough for the team to update as they continued to grow.
- Clear messaging around the team’s culture and commitment to providing their people with an exciting career path (hiring was a major priority). -

Our Approach
Over the course of ~12 weeks we worked together to define the verbal and visual look and feel for PEAK. We sent the team a series of at-home exercises and met weekly to further define the brand. With colors, fonts, core value propositions, and a whole collection of stories, we set out to build a website that brought everything together. We wanted to build something accessible and simple that still captured the founders’ decades of transaction experience, providing necessary credibility to prospective clients. We also wanted the PEAK team to be able to edit the site themselves, adding new deals and testimonials as they occurred.
We agreed that Squarespace was the right tool for the job, so we built a customized Squarespace site with pages that reflected the team’s core goals (closing deals, hiring, and celebrating wins). We launched with a series of case studies as well as a letter from the PEAK founders sharing their intentions for the firm and their excitement for the future. -

The Impact
PEAK continues to grow—they had more than tripled their team size as of Fall 2022—and they frequently hear comments about their messaging and web design. As the team continues to expand their reach, they’ll lean on the core storytelling we defined together.
